Supporting Organisations

The have been numerous organisations that have had an impact on the project, either in terms of funding, networking or practical assistance. We would like to acknowledge the importance of their support and to thank them for their help.

• The initial professional contacts were established through networks such as Federation of European Nurse Educators – FINE.
• Leonardo Lifelong Learning was the funding stream offering financial support.
• Projects such as the Tuning project, as part of the development of the European Qualifications Framework, have provided a comprehensive backdrop to our work, in terms of identifying standardised nursing competencies and outcomes for Europe.

Other credentialing initiatives such as ECvets and Europass offer practitioners resources that will facilitate professional exchange in the future. The European Commission site has many useful areas, which individuals can access for further information. Once again there will be further links  that evolve and will be added.

Professional associations in each country have been supportive and assisted with hosting events e.g.: the Royal College of Nursing in England.

What is missing from this list are the ‘sleeping partners’ (service organisations that have supplied students for the focus groups) these are too many to list, but are much appreciated in each country.
